The International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav in Mauritius began with Gita Rath Yatra. President of Mauritius H.E. Mr Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory, Art and Culture Minister, Gita Manishi Gyananand Ji, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti Jain Acharya Lokesh Muni, Sanjiv Krishna Thakur Ji, Bhupender Singh Ji and hundreds of devotees were present on the occasion. They planted Tulsi plant and visited the temple on the occasion.
President of Mauritius H.E. Mr Paramasivum Pillay thanking the Saints and ISKCON said that it is a golden opportunity for the people of Mauritius to participate in International Gita Jayanti Mahotsava. Thousands of devotees will be benefitted by this. President said that he is very happy to be given the opportunity to organise Gita Jayanti Mahotsava in Mauritius. He appreciated the successful organisation of Gita Rath Yatra and said that Conferences, Gita Path and Aarti will be organised in next three days.
Jain Acharya Lokesh Muni said that whole of India and the saints are grateful to President of Mauritius for holding International Gita Jayanti Mahotsava in Mauritius. He said with inspiration from Gita Manishi Gyananand Ji, Government of India, Government of Mauritius, and Haryana Government together made this spiritual event a success, Art and Culture Minister of Mauritius is also present on this occasion, I greet all of them. This is moment of pride for India. Presently not only India but entire world needs Gita.
