Youth & Educated class adopt Bhagwan Mahavir Philosophy in their life – Acharya Lokesh

            New Delhi, April 18, 2019: Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti eminent Jain Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni addressing Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti program organised by Vardhman Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital said that Jain religion based on the teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir has become very useful in present world scenario. His teachings have solution for global problems like violence due to war and terrorism, religious intolerance and economic exploitation, environment and nature degradation. Jainism has tried to solve these problems of mankind through the three basic tenets of non-attachment (Aprigraha), non-violence (Ahimsa) and non-absolutism (Anekanta). If mankind observes these three principals, peace and harmony can certainly be established in the world.

Acharya Lokesh said that when the younger generation and the educated classes should understand the teachings of Lord Mahavira and adapt them in their lifestyle, only then the purpose of celebrating Lord Mahavir Jayanti can be fulfilled. Jain philosophy is a lifestyle which adopts a balanced person and balanced society that is possible. He said that Lord Mahavira’s philosophy is also scientifically proven. Lord Mahavira was not only a spiritual master but also a scientist and psychologist. Scientists use the laboratory to reach the truth, Lord Mahavir made his body a laboratory. The truth which he experienced after deep meditation, penance and sadhana is available in Jain Agam.

Acharya Lokesh addressing the topic ‘How to have a healthy mind: Role of Religion’ said that all religions and philosophies consider human life as the best, because man has the capability to become Supreme God from ordinary human being and become divine from a simple soul. It is also a scientific fact that human brain is the most developed, brain than other creatures, humans have the most capable nervous system.

Doctors, Nurses and staff who had done outstanding work were honoured on the occasion. The program was also addressed by Safdarjung Hospital Head of Cardiology Department Dr. Sandeep Bansal, Head of Neurology Department Dr. Neera Chaudhary, Head of Psychiatry Department Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Dr. Rajesh Kumar from Nephrology Department, Principal of Vardhman College Dr. N.N.
